What happens at a Bar Mitzvah?

It usually starts with an announcement of the honoree and family as they arrive and enter the venue. The candle lighting follows, where the honoree calls the family to come light a candle to be placed on the cake. The very first candle signifies family members who have passed away. The honoree also takes this time to speak about each person coming up and how they have been a part of their life.

The oldest person in the family will then recite the Ha-motzi, and then everyone eats. The honoree then dances with his mom, and then it’s time for the Hora, where everyone dances around the honoree and the family. The toast is done either before or after the Hora.

Walk into a beautiful setting where the reading and candle lighting will be done, specially designed just for the honoree.
