Renting Event Space

When you rent event space, be sure to take the time to explore all of your options. Selecting an event venue is one of the most important parts of planning an event. The venue itself has the ability to leave a lasting impression on the minds of your guest for a long time and if this is the case, so will your event.

Renting Event Space

For those of you looking to rent event space in Miami, be sure to check out Soho Studios in the Wynwood District. Soho Studios is a 65,000 square foot event space that can be used for both small and large scale events.

Here are a few other types of event space:

Banquet Halls

Banquet Halls have always been popular. These venues are just about great for hosting all forms of corporate as well as personal events. They also give you the liberty to exercise your own ideas when it comes to decoration and planning. Another benefit of renting event space from banquet halls is that they can be much affordable than the customary hotels and clubs to sport any event.

Resorts and Hotels

Miami is an international hot spot for hotels and there could be no better place for renting event space than a fabulous hotel or resort. Hotels and resorts places are turnkey solutions for anyone planning an event. For example if you choose a hotel or a resort for your event then you need not to worry about making a separate arrangement for catering. They are one and for all a hassle free and comprehensive solution to all your event planning.

Another type of event space you should consider is a restaurant. Most restaurants have good array of options varying from simple to extravagant event arrangements. One of the nice things about renting event space from a restaurant is that you need not to worry about anything other than having to arrange for the right menu order on the list and you can leave many of the event details in their hands.

Country Clubs

The best option so far that not only awards you with ample privacy, also includes many of the elements of hotels and resorts blended into one fine renting event space. The best part about these clubs is that they are available throughout the year. Though most of them can only be availed by members, this shouldn't be much of a problem if you have the right contacts.

Event planning requires good solid research. Renting event space is less difficult if you know exactly what type of event space is available and in your budget.

What is experiential marketing?

If you are into event planning you most likely have some event planning tools you are comfortable with. There’s software, social marketing, even multiple event planning apps. There is one event planning tool that more marketers and event planners are utilizing. It is experiential marketing.

Experiential marketing uses one basic psychological fact…we learn from our experiences. It ties this fact in with a product or brand to help people feel a certain way about that brand. One such experiential marketing event took place recently at an event space in Miami called Soho Studios.

Soho Studios is no stranger to events in Miami. They have been a venue used by art shows, concerts, fashion shows, meetings, and parties. It has been used as a commercial shoot location, photography studio, and a film studio. It has been utilized by such companies as Ford Motor, Evian, Telemundo, and Puma.

This experiential event featured Absolut Vodka X and 2,500 excited Miamians. It was the Absolut X Bloc Party, and when the doors opened guests were asked to wear a mask or have their faces painted for a masquerade party.

As guests entered they were greeted by a giant archway with a DJ atop, and a bar on each side of the archway. Drinks at the bars included Absolut Greyhounds (Absolut & Grapefruit Juice), Absolut Caipiroskas (Absolut, lime and sugar), and Absolut punch. Absolut also commissioned Miami artist Agustina Woodgate to create artworks that would later be auctioned for charity.

No doubt the highlight was the show put on by British indie-rock band Bloc Party, playing for the very first time in Miami. It was an Absolut blast and you know the crowd left with a great feeling about the premium vodka brand.

Do you have a brand that could benefit from experiential marketing? Consider a venue in Miami that South Florida is turning to more and more for the hottest events, Soho Studios. With 65,000 square feet of multipurpose space, the venue is perfect for a variety of experiential events. Viral Video - The Blue Bouquet

One of the most cutting edge marketing tools available today is experimental marketing or experiential marketing. Brand sponsored flash mobs, large art installations and events are just some examples of experiential marketing. Another way to go is to film a social experiment and post a video of it on YouTube.

Recently, Taco Bell staged a social experiment to promote the launch of their latest culinary creation, the Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco. Fans of Taco Bell’s Facebook page were given directions to go to a flower shop in Manhattan’s meat packing district and provide the secret password – The Blue Bouquet. Once the password was given, a Taco Bell representative, cleverly disguised as flower shop worker, presented them with a bouquet of blue flowers and a Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Taco. Some folks came in and asked for the taco directly and were met with perplexed stares. The whole thing was wildly entertaining and the video went viral with over a million hits on YouTube.

Another way for effective brand exposure via experiential marketing is through an event production. At Soho Studios, a venue in Miami, Absolut Vodka hosted Absolut X, a free concert featuring indie rock favorite Bloc Party and drinks mixed with the clear libation Absolut is famous for. Soho Studios is known as a hub for experiential marketing events. Among all the other venues in Miami, Soho Studios versatility and capacity for large scale events allows event planners the freedom to use their imaginations to produce top of the line experiential marketing events that create the buzz that all brands are looking for. Whether you are looking to launch your brand or looking to increase the exposure of your existing brand, experiential marketing is a highly effective marketing tool.

Absolut X

Absolut Vodka came to Miami for their Absolut X event

With several thousand RSVP's only 2000 could come in. There was a line that went around a city block.

Those who were lucky to get in also had the opportunity to go crazy for the Absolut photo booth.

Then finally Bloc Party came on to get the party started.

At one point the crowd went nuts as the confetti descended on the dance floor during Bloc Party's performance.

John Lermayer was also present to shake a few drinks and show off some of his amazing skills by his mixology station.

The Absolut event was amazing. Free drinks all night, with plenty of bars through out our large Armory Studio. To make the night even tastier Absolut Tune was served during the night. For those of you who don't know about the new Absolut Tune, this drink is made of sparkling wine fused with vodka.

During the night guests could have a masquerade-themed makeover that took place center stage. This was a huge success among the guests as they had the chance to get the smokey eye and aloof facial makeup. Those who didn't have the guts to get a makeover, could get masks that were given out for free.

The pies de resistance of the night, was Bloc Party. One of Britain's biggest bands that came to grace the stage for a couple of hours

Check out some photos from the night.

Working with the non-profit Architecture for Humanity, Woodgate’s finished art will be donated and installed in a selected public space, leaving a piece of ABSOLUT X to live on in Miami.

Agustina Woodgate aims to create art that fosters exchanges between people rather than encounters between a viewer and an object. Through these exchanges, meaning is elaborated collectively, rather than in the space of individual consumption.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1981. She graduated from the Instituto Universitario Nacional de Arte, Buenos Aires,  Argentina in 2004. Often responding to a place or situation, Woodgate makes objects, site-specific and context-based installations, performance, and collaborative event-based projects that focus on the interplay between human beings and their surrounding environment at both macro and micro levels. Site specificity is usually the point of departure for her creative process, involving research into the site and its relations. Agustina works inclusively and socially, finding new access points for communication to create public, intensive, and process-oriented works. She currently lives and works in Miami, FL.

Serving as ABSOLUT X’s instigator of creativity, Agustina and her work encourage thought and challenge “the norm.”

From Andy Warhol to Swedish House Mafia, ABSOLUT® VODKA has a long history of collaborating with and supporting cultural provocateurs. With the launch of ABSOLUT® X, the brand is challenging partygoers to transform their present and futures, creating a new reality where there are no rules. ABSOLUT® X will continue to ask “What is your X?” in Seattle, New York City and Philadelphia this summer. For more information visit ABSOLUT X.
